According to the Community Association Institute (CAI), the number of association-governed communities across the nation has recently increased to over 333,000 communities. Over 66 million Americans, more than 20% of the total population, now live in these common-interest communities. A recent survey performed by Public Opinion Strategies, a national market research firm, found that 83% of residents in association-governed communities felt that their community manager provided value and support to residents and their associations.
